The flower of YG Entertainment, 2NE1 has fiercely dominated the ringtone and caller ring download charts last September with their three title songs.
According to portal site Phone World’s monthly ringtone chart, Go Away has been downloaded 290,000 times since its release until September 30th. About 40,000 downloads were made in a day and the song was applied as a ringtone over a total of 300,000.
Downloads for Can’t Nobody reached 105,000 times and Clap Your Hands for 42,000 times. Combining the total for the three songs together, about 450,000 downloads were recorded for September. With the impressive record, the total download is predicted to hit 500,000 by the end of first week in October.
Usually almost all new released tracks will dominate the ringtone charts for the first couple of weeks only. Nevertheless, 2NE1 managed to be consistent in topping the ringtone charts for 4 consecutive weeks.
Not only ringtones, 2NE1 also hit the jackpot with best sellers for caller rings. By October 2nd, the number one downloaded caller ring was none other than Go Away.
2NE1 is currently busy promoting their three title tracks and have been receiving multiple crowns on music shows besides sweeping music and mobile charts. Congratulations, 2NE1!
